Jenni helped shape many of the laws and systems used today to respond to child abductions in the United States. She led the legislative effort to establish California’s Amber Alert law, worked with members of Congress to draft the federal AMBER Alert legislation, and spearheaded the “Amber Alert Now” campaign that helped bring statewide Amber Alert plans to the remaining 36 states without one.

Jenni is a subject matter expert on child abduction issues and has provided training at national and international conferences. She also served as a consultant to the Uniform Law Commission during the development of the Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act. Jenni lives in Northern California with her dog, Joey, and enjoys woodworking in her spare time.
